Youth

You have heard it said that “youth are the future of the church.” Here at Beaumont, youth are also very much the present of the church, for there is much that takes place now. Youth are supported and encouraged by the session, the congregation at large, and of course, one another.
Youth Ministry at Beaumont Presbyterian Church is ministry with youth, rather than ministry to or for them. The youth are active in decision making, sharing in leadership and other tasks. Our primary goal is to make all youth feel welcome with us in fellowship, respected by us in discussion, and loved by God in all that we do.

Our programs and activities are designed to fulfill the purposes of what God has called us to be.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are yoiung, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”
-1 Timothy 4:12

Youth of the church are invited and encouraged to participate in activities within the larger network of the Presbyterian Church. Some of these opportunities include Camp Burnamwood, Presbytery programs, National conferences and conventions, and gatherings with other local churches.

$ Often activities and trips have a cost involved. Each of the youth at Beaumont have several opportunities to work at several church fundraisers throughout the year. The money they earn offsets and in many cases covers the complete cost for youth programs. Beyond this, scholarship money is available for youth who have need of further financial assistance. We never want a youth to miss an opportunity due to cost.
